Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Upasnaka Konidela recently posted a pic of hers with a Rama Chiluka (rose-ringed parakeet) in her effort to spread awareness about wildlife protection.
"Did you know that the Rama Chiluka is the state bird of Andhra Pradesh? Did you know that the Krishna Jinka or blackbuck is the state animal of Andhra Pradesh? Did you know that caging any Indian parrot/parakeet is illegal and one can receive a punishment of 6 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5000?" she wrote on her social media pages.
She further wrote: Parrots/Parakeets are meant to fly - not be caged for your amusement or read ur fortune! Do your bit - report or release any caged parrot. The Rama Chiluka is an endangered species today!"
Did u know the “Rama Chiluka (psittacula krameri) or rose ringed parakeet” is the state bird of Andhra Pradesh
