Kamal Haasan and controversies are always inseparable. His recent films since Virumandi had seen one controversy or other. Adding to that list is is under-production Dasavatharam.

A youth from Chennai has lodged a complaint with Chennai City Police Commissioner on Tuesday that Dasavatharam was his original script and he happened to meet Kamal Haasan and narrated the same to him a few years ago.

Kamal Haasan had promised to work in the project.

He alleged in his complaint that without his knowledge the shooting for Dasavatharam had commenced and when he made enquiries, sources close to the actor promised to involve him in the project. But his repeated attempts to reach the actor have ended in vain and he was also threatened, he alleged.

However when contacted Kamal Haasan, who is busy shooting for Dasavatharam, gave his trademark smile and brushed aside the controversy.

In his own witty manner, the actor said, he and the police had better jobs to do.
