Prakash Javadekar, the Minister of Environment and I&B, has on Monday posted a short video clip on Twitter to show the world how to easily make a face mask at home. At a time when the country's 130 crore people need masks to stave off COVID-19, the BJP leader has made the video. All that one needs is a handkerchief and two rubber-bands, he says.
"Wearing a mask is desirable. Mask can be prepared in 2 minutes by anyone. I have made it. You can also do it and here is the video lesson to assist you," Javadekar said, posting the video clip. He later attended a meeting with his Ministry's officials wearing his self-made mask.
"Always use a face cover when you step out of your house in emergency situations to protect yourself from COVID-19 infection. Make face covers at home and distribute to others as well," he said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh government has decided to distribute 16 crore masks in the State. Each resident will get three masks.
