UNICEF yet again prefers Amitabh

Amitabh Bachchan last night broke a good news. For two more years, he will be the brand ambassador for UNICEF. “My ambassadorship for Unicef extended for another two years after the success of polio drive. Now working for MR inoculation for kids,” the legendary star said. MR stands for Measles and Rubella.

The renewal of the ambassadorship bears testimony to the impact Big B has had. His megastardom has definitely taken the noble cause of immunization to millions of people. He also commands an enormous number of followers on social media, with Twitter alone accounting for 28 million. All of these go a long way in creating a health consciousness among many.

Big B himself once suffered TB and Hepatitis B.
