The legendary 'Nayakan' combo, Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam joined forces again for the highly anticipated project 'Thug Life'. The shooting of this film kicked off on January 24th. According to the latest buzz, the team has concluded the first schedule of filming now.

'Thug Life' is said to be a unique action flick. The production works began in Chennai. Reportedly, the first schedule went on for 5 days and the makers wrapped it up yesterday. Ulaganayagan Kamal, Joju George and Abhirami were a part of this schedule and some action scenes were filmed. These portions were wrapped on Tuesday (Jan 30).

The next phase of 'Thug Life' filming is said to take place in March as Kamal is headed to shoot for 'Kalki 2898 AD' for more than one week in February. In March, the further schedules of Thug Life are set to take off in Siberia and Russia. We have to take it with a pinch of salt and wait for an official confirmation from the team regarding the same.

'Thug Life' has music composed by AR Rahman, cinematography handled by Ravi K Chandran and editing by Sreekar Prasad with action direction by the Anbariv duo. The star cast comprises Kamal, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, Dulquer Salmaan, Gautham Karthik, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Abhirami, Nassar and others.
