The highly anticipated sequel of 'Indian' directed by Shankar with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the titular role, has been in production for a long time. The film was split into 'Indian 2' and 'Indian 3' recently. We already updated you that the talkie portions are over and a song shoot was going on.

As per the latest updates, Shankar finished the filming of a massive song with Siddharth and Priya Bhavani Shankar in 'Indian 2' recently. The team is left with a grand song featuring Kamal Haasan to completely wrap up the shooting for 'Indian 2'. The makers are aiming to release this movie in May after the parliament elections. The post-production works are going on parallelly.

It is said that Kamal Haasan may shoot some remaining portions for 'Indian 3' after the release of 'Indian 2'. We hear that 'Indian 3' might hit the screens this August, marking Independence Day. He will shoot for Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life' in the meantime. This star-studded project is a joint production of Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies with music by Anirudh.
