Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, legendary actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam founder, addressed the media today while helping the people affected by floods. Chennai and its adjacent districts have been in mayhem since Cyclone Michaung caused extreme rains and floods on Monday. However, the city is slowly recovering now.
The government and volunteers including celebrities are carrying out the relief activities in full swing. Today, Kamal Haasan came to the field and actively helped the stranded people along with his party members. He talked to the media during the same and said, "There was no doubt that what had come before was a tragedy, but what had come now was a disaster."
"It is our duty to get down and work instead of complaining. Helping people is all that matters now. Climate change is something that is happening all over the world. Everyone should come to the field and work together for relief work. In this difficult time, we should stop blaming anyone and carry out rescue work, and everyone should come forward to do what the people need," added the MNM leader.
