Kamal Haasan has been a constant voice for cleanliness and way back in 1994 in his film 'Nammavar' dedicated a song "Sorgam enbadhu nammakku" to egg on the youth to be clean and make them atmosphere clean. He also was the first to gather his followers and pioneer the efforts to clean the lakes of Chennai after being affected by the great floods in 2015.

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's fan club in Paris, France coordinated a drive to bring awareness on cleanliness by taking to the streets of the great city and relieving it of garbage. The drive was presided over by Kamal Fans club president Franshua Gasthone, Kamal Raj, Morris Gerard and many other Tamil youth of country. Here is Kamal's emotional message to his Paris fans.
