Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan regained his peak form with the industry hit 'Vikram' in 2022 and his films have been hot in the trade ever since. We already brought to you that the digital rights for Kamal Haasan's new film with H Vinoth, tentatively called 'KH233,' was bagged by Netflix for Rs 125 crore even before its official announcement.
Now, the latest news is that the digital rights for Indian 2 is sold for a new record price. All language streaming rights of Indian 2 are said to be acquired by the market leader Netflix for around Rs 220 crore. If this news is true, this is one of the highest non-theatrical pre-business deals in Indian cinema. We have to wait for an official confirmation about this.
Earlier today, we broke to you that director Shankar is now at the Lola VFX studio in Los Angeles for the de-ageing visuals of Kamal Haasan. The film is likely to have a grand release in April 2024. Meanwhile, Ulaganayagan is now busy with the comic-con debut of 'Project K,' in which he plays an antagonist. He also has 'KH233' with H Vinoth and 'KH234' with Mani Ratnam.
