Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan is a renowned writer and filmmaker apart from being a legendary actor. He teamed up with director Suresh Krissna for the psychological thriller film, 'Aalavandhan', which was released in 2001. It was an adaptation of the novel 'Dhayam' written by Kamal himself.
Now, the hot news is that Aalavandhan is all set to have a grand re-release on over 1000 screens across the globe. Kalaippuli S Thanu, who produced the film under his banner V Creations, took to social media and announced the same with a new re-release poster of the cult classic movie. It is hailed as one of the best works of Kamal. Earlier this year, Kamal's 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu' was re-released and had a superb run.
Aalavandhan revolves around the twins Vijay Kumar, an army officer, and Nandhu, a delusional man in an asylum. The film is all about the cat-and-mouse game between the brothers when Nandhu sets out to kill Vijay's girlfriend due to his mental issues. The film stars Kamal in dual roles, with Raveena Tandon, Manisha Koirala, Sarath Babu and others. ShankarâEhsaanâLoy trio composed the songs for the mid-old movie.
