UK Chancellor Gordon Brown visits Yashraj Studios

The Chancellor of UK Mr. Gordon Brown on his trip to India paid a visit to the state-of-the-art YRF Studios. He was welcomed by Mr. & Mrs. Yash Chopra. Mr. Chopra was also joined by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, Ms. Rani Mukerji and Mr. Karan Johar in welcoming the distinguished visitor.

Mr. Gordon Brown, who is Britain's treasury chief, was overwhelmed by the facilities of the YRF Studios and the working environment created to make films. He visited the Recording facilities as well as viewed the blockbuster song “Kajra Re” in the YRF preview theatre.

He then spent considerable time discussing various issues with Mr. Chopra and Mr. Bachchan, particularly relating to facilities of shooting of Indian films in the UK. Mr. Chopra gave Mr. Gordon Brown a gift as a souvenir, which included DVDs of some of the biggest YRF films including ‘Veer-Zaara’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Fanaa’, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Bunty aur Babli’, ‘Salaam Namaste’ and others.
