The Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce has organized Ugadhi Cinemaa Puraskaralu in Amaravathi,t he new AP capital. The same will take place at Happy Resorts. Pathipati Pulla Rao, the Minister, Palle Raghunatha Reddy, Rayapati Sambasivarao, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, KVV Satyanarayana Rao, Veera Shankar (Directors' Association President) and many more will attend the event.

The Chamber also awarded Puraskarams to Best Films in two categories. In the first, films released between Ugadhi 2012 and Ugadhi 2016, and in the second, films released between last year's Ugadhi and this year's were awarded.

Rajendra Prasad ('Onamalu'), Dr. Sunitha Krishnan ('Naa Bangaru Talli'), Rajesh Touchriver (director), the director of 'O Malli', Ramya Sri (actress), Indramohan are some of the award recipients.

Producer Raj Kandukuri and director Tharun Bhascker for 'Pelli Choopulu', Sapthagiri for 'Sapthagiri Express', producer Dr. K Ravi Kiran were some of the other recipients. Aditya Om and others got jury awards.
