The 'Indian Idol 12' seems to be dragging on unnecessarily now. After several music related stars expressed their views on the matter, the recent name in the list is of legendary singer, Udit Narayan. The issue started when the Amit Kumar, who appeared as a guest on one of the episodes, commented on the sub-par quality of the episode and accused the judges for ruining the songs of his father, Kishore Kumar.
Udit Narayan defended the contestants and shared that it isn't fair to criticize young talent for failing to meet the level of an era defining artist.
He said, ""I saw Amit's episode, I could see that he enjoyed it (the performances). When you agreed to be on the show, you should not have said such things after coming out. Now, I have said this and I will also be dragged into it like Aditya."
Talking specifically about Amit, Udit said, "We are often invited so we can watch new talent and also polish them, we are also paid for this. This process of learning and teaching continues throughout life. Often, we are not too strict with talent, fearing they may be overwhelmed with negativity.
