Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has won big at the Chepauk constituency in Chennai by a margin of 68,000 votes after twenty-five rounds of counting. The son of DMK leader and the next Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Udhay entered active politics only a few months back and took to it like a fish to water attracting the party loyalists all over the state with his fiery speeches much like his grandfather M. Karunanidhi. Another coincidence is that MK too won by the same margin from Thirvaroor in his last elections in 2015.
Earlier Udhayanidhi posted a photo of himself along with children visiting his father Stalin in his house and both of them holding a brick with AIIMS written on it. This is in connection with his campaign in the elections that the BJP failed to build the AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) as promised in its election mandate.
Udhay had then carried the brick around trolled the central ruling party that it had only laid one stone and failed to make good of its promises.
