Makkal Needhi Maiam President Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan had yesterday said that he will not get his shirt torn in the assembly, nor will he come out of assembly with the same torn shirt, but will wear a new one and come out. This remark of the actor turned politician was seen as a sharp remark aimed at DMK President MK Stalin, referring to an incident in 2018.

Following this, DMK's official magazine Murasoli had criticized this speech of Kamal, saying that the actor is speaking without a steady state of mind ,like a shopkeeper who has started his shop but is unable to find customers to sell. None can find what Kamal says or why he speaks so, and he will make his listeners to tear their shirts apart, and he will never get his shirt torn.

Murasoli had also added that Kamal proved his inexperience by saying that Stalin copied his Grama Sabha measures, quoting that Kalaignar Karunanidhi had conducted Grama Sabha meets when he was a Chief minister. Actor Udhayanidhi Stalin had also took it to Twitter to troll Kamal Haasan with his tweet that read "A tribute to the ignorant Kalaignani Kamal sir who says he was the one who discovered Grama Sabha" and added photos of Stalin's Grama Sabha meetings. There are some section of people saying that these photos were taken during Stalin's Naalai Namathe campaign. It must be noted that Udhayanidhi Stalin had produced Kamal Haasan starrer Manmadhan Ambu in his early days as a producer.
