Director Seenu Ramasamy whose last release was the Vijay Sethupathi starrer Superhit movie Dharmadurai, is all set to hit screens this month with the Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamannaah, Vasundhara Kashyap and Vadivukkarasi starrer Kanne Kalaimaane, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Kanne Kalaimaane predominantly focuses on problems faced by farmers, and a love story is intertwined as well. Team Kanne Kalaimaane had arranged a special screening of the movie for political leaders like Viduthalai Siruthaigal leader Thol.Thirumavalavan, Mutharasan etc, and after watching the movie, he had praised the movie as a natural and realistic one, mentioning the performances of Udhayanidhi and others, Yuvan's rural flavored music and Vairamuthu's lyrics, and called it a poetic film.

Mutharasan, the Communist party state secretary had watched the movie along with his family and said that Seenu Ramasamy has captured the lifestyle of rural people and the family bonding in a beautiful, aesthetic manner, and that the movie was a satisfying, content experience. The trailer released weeks back by Vijay Sethupathi had been received well, and now this appreciation from political leaders has come as a boost for Kanne Kalaimaane which is releasing on February 22.
