Producer turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin returned to cinema after a break due to COVID and the TN elections. He has several promising titles in his pipeline. The makers unveiled the first look & motion poster of Udhay’s upcoming movie with the new-gen filmmaker Arunraja Kamaraj.
This film is the official Tamil remake of the highly acclaimed Bollywood thriller ‘Article 15’. Titled ‘Nenjukku Needhi’, it is financed by Zee Studios & Bayview Projects In Association with Romeo Pictures. Udhayanidhi is playing a police role for the first time in this crime drama. He looks intensely draped in the cop attire in the poster.
Article 15 starring Ayushman Khurrana was directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination by religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. It was inspired by multiple true-life events. Article 15 is loudly applauded for openly criticising the social injustice around us.
Dhibu Ninan Thomas is scoring music for Nenjukku Needhi while Dinesh Krishnan cranks the camera and Ruben is taking care of the cuts. Director Arunraja has also crafted lyrics and rendered his voice for one of the songs. On the work front, Udhay also has Kannai Nambathey, Angel, and films with directors Magizh Thirumeni and Mari Selvaraj coming up.
