Producer turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin has teamed up with the acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj for his next film titled 'Maamannan'. The project was announced on March 4 and the shooting kickstarted with a small ceremony on the same date.

While the National Award winning actress Keerthy Suresh is roped in to play the leading lady part, 'Maamannan' also features Vagai Puyal Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil in important roles alongside Udhay. Oscar Naayagan AR Rahman is scoring music for the upcoming movie.

The makers were shooting for the film around the locales of Salem and Yercaud. Today (March 29), director Mari Selvaraj took to his Twitter handle to officially announce that the first schedule of 'Maamannan' shooting is wrapped up and unveiled an intense poster featuring Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Produced by Red Giant Movies, the team has celebrated the schedule wrap by cutting a cake and the pictures of same have been revealed by the production house on their social media handle. Theni Eashwar will be handling the cinematography, Selva RK will take care of the cuts with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi.
