Indiaglitz broke to you several months ago that acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj will be directing producer turned actor Udhayanidhi Stalin's next film co-starring Fahad Faasil and Vadivelu with music by AR Rahman. Now, Udhayanidhi Stalin's production house officially announced the project and revealed the title this morning, as it was reported earlier.
Produced by the actor himself, Red Giant Movies took to their social media handle to confirm that Udhayanidhi Stalin will play the lead role in 'Pariyerum Perumal' & 'Karnan' fame director Mari Selvaraj's third film. Famous pan-Indian actor Fahad Faasil and our Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu will be seen in important roles in the movie while National award-winning actress Keerthy Suresh stars as the female lead.
With music composed by the Mozart of the Madras AR Rahman, the big-budget venture's title is revealed to be 'Maamannan' meaning Emperor. This project is said to be the last film of Udhayanidhi as an actor before he turns a full-time politician. Theni Eashwar will be handling the cinematography, Selva RK will take care of the cuts with lyrics penned by Yugabharathi.
Dhilip Subbarayan, the man behind the breathtaking action scenes in 'Valimai', will be choreographing the stunts in this film too. Sandy is roped in as the dance master and Kumar Gangappan serves as the art director. Suren G and Azhagiyakoothan will be working as sound designers. The shooting of 'Maamannan' kickstarts today.
