The COVID 19 second wave which has completely disrupted normal life in Tamil Nadu has given rise to almost 35 thousand new cases every day and the death toll is hovering around the 500 mark. The demand for ICU beds and oxygen is still high and government and private entities are joining hands to combat the situation.
Director N. Linguswamy has initiated the conversion of a famous ashram in Manappakkam Chennai into a 50 bed COVID 19 hospital. Actor-Politician Udhayanidhi Stalin and to South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh inaugurated the same on Wednesday.
Linguswamy praised Udhay for his bold moves to help the public without fearing for his life in the pandemic time and added that he has the intelligence of his grandfather Karunanidhi and the heart of his father TN CM M.K. Stalin.
The ace commercial director later wrote on Twitter “Thanking @Udhaystalin brother, Hon. Minister T.M.Anbarasan & @KeerthyOfficial for coming up & helping us in opening the Manapakkkam ashram for covid patients. With the blessings of @kamleshdaaji organised by @heartful_ness in association with @CIPACA_Official it went well. Thank u (sic).”
