The medical field is witnessing huge developments with each passing day. The technical advancements in the treatments are the achievements that make us safer. The latest is that Tamil Nadu has got its first real-time intraoperative full-body mobile CT scan in MIOT Hospital in Chennai.
Surgeries become a lot safer and more accurate when we have live intraoperative CT imaging. Madras Institute of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (M.I.O.T) – a 1000-bed multi-specialty hospital, found on 1999, has created this breakthrough possibility with “BODYTOM” – A Real-time Intraoperative Full-body Mobile 32-slice CT scan (First time in Tamil Nadu).
MIOT has always been a pioneer in adopting cutting-edge health care technologies in India. It introduced India’s first TrueBeam STx radiotherapy machine and first Biplane CathLab with single-platform Cone Beam CT, 3D Echo and software intelligence. It also launched South India’s first GE IQ PET/CT scan.
The hospital welcomes a new era in imaging with the full-body mobile 32-slice CT scan, Bodytom. The BODYTOM was launched by the film actor, producer and Honourable MLA, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin on 23rd July 2022 at MIOT International, Chennai. The Nenjuku Needhi actor was clicked with Dr. Prithvi Mohandas, Managing Director of MIOT International during the inaugural ceremony.
