Wonder how Vijay Sethupathi got his famous tag of Makkal Selvan? It was during the shoot of the film ‘Dharmadurai’ during which director Seenu Ramasamy was moved to give this title to the actor. The title has caught on with the masses with VJS often referred to as the ‘Makkal Selvan’.

Following this, it seems like Udhayanidhi Stalin has been given a title by the director now. The director explains in his social page that he felt in his heart to call Udhayanidhi as ‘Makkal Anban’ which could be roughly translated to English as ‘someone who is fondly loved by the masses’. With the possibility of Udhayanidhi embarking on a political career, the aptly fitting title will no doubt be a well deserved decoration. Udhayanidhi's 'Kanne Kalaimaane' directed by Seenu Ramasamy is expected to hit the screens after the strike implemented by the producers council comes to an end.
