Udhay-Priyan film is the remake of this National award winning Malayalam film

As reported by us earlier, Udhayanidhi Stalin has announced that his next film will be with veteran director Priyadarshan and the film will be produced by Santhosh of Mooonlight Entertainments banner.
Now we learn from a source that this film will be the Tamil remake of critically acclaimed Malayalam super hit 'Maheshinte Prathikaram'. The film starring Fahad Fazil in the lead role won two National awards under the Best Malayalam film and the Best Screenplay (Shyam Pushkaran). The film made on a budget of Rs.4.5 crores went on to collect Rs.17.35 crores
The shooting of the Tamil remake is expected to begin from the 15th of July 2017.
