The public protest for the setting up of the Cauvery Management Board gained traction recently, especially by holding stand against IPL the issue garned widespread international attention as well. Now Udhayanidhi Stalin has posted in his social page why can’t film releases be also stayed until the CMB is set up.

He has also opined that doing so will help attract more attention from the government with regards tot the issue. It should be noted that the producer council strike has just been brought to a resolution and with Udhayanidhi’s suggestion, one can be sure it is going to spell some controversy within the film space.
