Udhayanidhi Stalin's next film as the lead hero 'Gethu' is almost ready. The producer-actor has confirmed that the shooting of talkie portions of the Thirukumaran directed flick have been completed and three duet songs remain to be shot.

The film stars Udhayanidhi Stalin and Amy Jackson in lead roles. Sathyaraj plays Udhay's father in this which is said to explore the beauty of father-son relationship. Vikranth plays an out and out negative role for the first time in his career and he is the main villain in this film.

Recently the team has wrapped up a 16 days schedule in Goa including a fight sequence between Udhay and Vikranth. Karunakaran plays Udhay's friend in this film. For the first time, Santhanam is not included in the star cast of a film with Udhayanidhi as the hero. The musical score for the film has been rendered by Harris Jayaraj.

Udhay who is producing 'Gethu' under his Red Giant Movies banner has confirmed that he is planning to release the film on December 18.
