Popular theatre complex in Chennai to live telecast IPL matches

The management of the popular Udayam Theatre complex in Ashok Nagar, Chennai have given a petition to the Commissioner of Police seeking permission to telecast live the IPL 2018 matches. The have cited that the ongoing Kollywood strike has affected their business to a great extent as there are no footfalls due to the stoppage of new movie releases.
Mr. Hariharan the owner of Udayam has also mentioned that Star Sports has agreed for a telecast deal and if the police permit then ticket prices will be set and all the 45 matches scheduled in all the venues will be live telecast on the big screens.
