Two writers allege 'Acharya' and 'Pushpa' are copied stories; Deets inside

Novelists and writers making allegations against filmmakers is nothing new. Mahesh Babu's 'Srimanthudu', Prabhas' 'Mr. Perfect', Vijay-AR Murugadoss' 'Sarkar' and a few other films have faced plagiarism charges over the years. But these films, by and large, faced those charges only after their release or just before their release (after the trailer has come out).
But 'Acharya' and 'Pushpa', two of the biggest films being made currently, have started facing plagiarism allegations on the basis of their first look posters.
Writer Rajesh Mandoori has claimed that Megastar Chiranjeevi's movie is based on his script. As per the writer, he had narrated a story to Mythri Movie Makers a few years ago. He alleges that the story was passed on by the production house to Koratala Siva, who has been associated with the banner since 'Srimanthudu' in 2015. A report says that the Writers' Association has been seized of the issue and that it has made a decision in favour of the makers of 'Acharya'. Koratala Siva hasn't spoken on the issue.
Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa', too, is facing similar allegations. Vempalli Gangadhar, a novelist, has alleged that the action drama is based on his story 'Tamila Coolie' that he had written for the daily Sakshi in 2018. It seems his allegation is based on news reports about Bunny playing a dacoit in Seshachalam forests. It's strange that the novelist has hinted at plagiarism by Sukumar without even reading the script.
