Early on Monday, two trains rammed into each other at Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad. They were moving at a slow pace, as the drivers had slowed down as the station was approaching. One of them was almost stationary. The accident is believed to have happened because of human error.
One of them is an MMTS train, while the other one is an express train. The reported head-on collision happened between the Kacheguda and Malakpet railway stations. Reports say that a driver has been critically injured, while 10 others suffered minor injuries. "The driver of the MMTS train was trapped inside the train," reports say.
Railway staff and police reached the spot in no time. The former were seen tending to the injured passengers with first-aid.
