Rumors were abuzz that he would do a movie in Tamil next. However the director chose to wait and watch. He commenced his next - Chotta Mumbai starring Mohanlal. With Bhavana playing the heroine, the movie went to floors recently. Even before Anwar could complete and release Chotta Mumbai, the director has got a surprise call from his lucky mascot Mammootty.

Mammootty was planning to work with director Ranjit next. However the project was temporarily shelved and the actor expressed his desire to work with Anwar Rasheed again.
