In an interview, Naga Chaitanya has spoken about two instances when he was a "victim of external factors". After 'Premam' happened last year, Chay delivered a dud with 'Sahasam Swasaga Saagipo'. The film got released at a time when liquidity crunch was ubiquitous in the face of Demonetization. It released two days after high-value currency was withdrawn and all ATMs went broke.

Chay also refreshes the reader's memory by referring to the circumstances in which his debut film was released. 'Josh' released on Sept 5, 2009, just three days after YS Rajasekhar Reddy passed away in an accident.

People were glued to TV sets for at least a week, forgetting films and even sops. It affected the prospects of 'Josh' rather badly. Thus, his debut film flopped.
