She now plays the heroine in the film titled Manadodu Mazhaikalam, which features Shaam in the lead role. Arpudan is directing the movie.
'It is a campus love story and I wanted a fresh face to play the heroine's role and I was impressed with Nitya Das after seeing a couple of Malayalam movies. Hence I decided to cast her as heroine for the movie', says Arpudan.
Jyothirmayi plays opposite Sathyaraj in Sivalingam IPS which is a remake of Suresh Gopi's Bharathchandran IPS.
