Director Pa Ranjith, who had last directed Kaala starring Superstar Rajnikanth and Nana Patekar, will be next directing a movie based on the life of Birsa Munda and is also said to be planning to start another movie starring Arya, based on boxing in North Chennai.

Besides direction, Pa Ranjith became a producer last year with Pariyerum Perumal, following the success of which he is now ready with his next production venture Irandaam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu. Directed by debutant Athiyan Athirai, the movie starring Dinesh and Anandhi releases on December 6.

In the audio launch event of the movie, Pa Ranjith said "We had come to films not just to make movies that can be made, but also to make movies which people thought cannot be made.It is good to see movies like Asuran becoming hits, and its success has given hopes for many. The commercial success of Asuran is an important one, and the success of Kaithi also makes me happy".
