In different accidents, two fishing boats have been completely destroyed in Kochi. The first boat met with an accident near New Vypin in the wee hours of Wednesday. Reportedly, 45 people were on board. Two of them are in critical condition and have been admitted to the hospital. The others were rescued by fellow fishermen. The accident happened after hitting the remnants of another boat that had sunk earlier. The debris of this first boat remained in the spot.

The second boat that met with an accident was about 2 nautical miles away from LNG Vypin. The boat that had 9 fishermen on board was returning after fishing in the night. Reportedly, the second boat hit the debris of the first boat which was destroyed in the morning. The mission to rescue the people aboard the boats is underway.
