Two films, one title

Tirupathi starring Ajith had a tremendous opening in Tamil Nadu. However protests came in the form of Ajith fans, who tried to black out screen when its director Perarasu appeared on screen mouthing punch dialogues.
And now, there seems to be fresh trouble regarding screening the film in Karnataka. Kannada producer R S Gowda has sought that the film be prevented from being released in Karnataka.
He has stated that his new film with Sudheep in the main lead, which is to be released in May, is also titled Tirupathi. It will be a bad move to release two films with the same title, which may cause confusion among the fans, he says.
