Two class 9 girls of a government school in Andhra were expelled and given TCs after they were found drunk in their school classroom.

The girls reportedly snuck in beer cans and mixed them with a soft drink in order to avoid suspicion. However, their classmates who sensed the alcohol smell from the bottles reported the same to the teachers, who found the beer cans in their bags. On being inquired about the incident by the principal, the girls stated that they got inspired by their fathers, who regularly consumed alcohol in front of the kids at home.

The 14-year-old girls were issued TCs later as the authorities thought that their behaviour would have an adverse effect on the other children if retained.
