Since so many long awaited movies have been getting their release dates recently, some box office clashes are bound to happen. While deciding the release dates, most filmmakers are looking to avoid clashes with powerhouse movies like 'KGF: Chapter 2' and 'RRR'. Rajamauli's 'RRR' was previously going to clash with Ajay Devgan's 'Maidaan' on Dussehra but second wave of the pandemic didn't let that happen.

Now as the new release date has been announced for the film, 'RRR' is going to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Gangubai Kathiawadi'. Clashes have always happened in the film industry and they are not really a big deal but it is unusual to see two films with similar starcast clashing with each other. Both 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'RRR' star Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan in important roles. Both the movies are going to release on 6th and 7th January 2022 respectively.

“Just 2 days back, Gangubai Kathiawadi’s release date was announced. And not just Alia and Ajay, both films are also backed by Jayantilal Gada’s PEN Movies. It is expected that Gangubai Kathiawadi would now move but imagine if it doesn’t!," a trade expert shared.
