Actress-turned-author Twinkle Khanna recently shared a candid conversation she had with her sister Rinke Khanna, delving into the extravagant pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. In her column, Twinkle humorously expressed her desire for her children, Aarav and Nitara, to "just elope" when they decide to tie the knot, citing amusing reasons for her preference.
Opening up about her reasoning, Khanna revealed, "My sister interrupts my meandering thoughts. âYou are talking about last names, but what about all the taam jhaam (all the fuss) we will have to do. The bar is now set very high after the Ambani events...I reply, âWell, I canât dance like Nita Bhabhi. The last time I tried dancing to Tamma Tamma Loge during the pandemic, I think even God didnât want to see my uncoordinated footwork because I immediately fell down and fractured my leg."
She continued, "My husband can barely stay awake after 10 pm, and we both get anxious about hosting dinner parties for over 20 people.â I pause for breath, âIf my children really want me to be happy, then the best thing they can do is just elope."
In addition to her humorous take on wedding festivities, Twinkle Khanna also shared amusing anecdotes from the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Reflecting on her husband Akshay Kumar's enthusiastic dance performance, she humorously likened his energetic moves to the forceful drilling of an oil well in the soil of Jamnagar.
Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar exchanged vows on January 17, 2001, and share a son named Aarav and a daughter named Nitara. Having transitioned from acting to writing, Twinkle's witty observations provide an entertaining glimpse into her unique perspective on life and family dynamics. Twinkle's advice to her children is surprising all the people and movie lovers. Some are praising her wit while others are criticising her.
