Today marks the twentieth year anniversary of Thala Ajith's major hit 'Kadhal Mannan' which had him as a race car driver his prime passion in real life too.  The film directed by Saran and produced by Venkatalayam had Manu as the herione supported by M.S. Viswanathan, Karan and Vivek.

Popular dance master turned actor Ajay Raaj was a teenager when he made his debut as choreographer in 'Kadhal Mannan' and he has shared his nostalgic moments with Thala.  He gets emotional when Ajith accepted him inspite of his inexperience and reveals that the mass hero has remained the same friendly person till date.  During the shooting of the song "Unai paartha pinbu naan" Ajay Raaj wanted a step of Sivaji Ganesan's "Enge Nimmadhi" song.  Thala got excited and wanting to do the movement in one single take fell on his knees and got up, hurting himself badly but still giving an excellent take.
