For more than thrice, the release date of Brahmotsavam has been deferred because of delays. Finally, the director-producer-hero trio of the film are learnt to have decided to wrap up the film as soon as possible so the film will be ready for a grand May 13 release. Only recently, the audio release date was postponed to May 1.

This May, Mahesh has a challenge. It's name is breaking the May jinx.

In Mahesh's career, only two films have released in the month of May (the two other summer releases hit the marquee in April). Both the films flopped. They are Nijam (2003) and Nani (2004). Brahmotsavam was to hit the marquee in April, which is a lucky month for Mahesh. Yuvaraju and Pokiri had released in April and while the former was an average grosser, the latter was a blockbuster.

Since Brahmotsavam's release is expected in May 13 (by the earliest), Mahesh faces the challenge of breaking the May jinx.
