TV9 accused of 'fake survey' before Telangana polls

Taking even die-hard TRS supporters by surprise, TV9 on Monday night aired an incredible survey commissioned by the Center for Psephological Studies. With a sample size of more than 2,58,000, the survey results turned out to be flabbergasting.
TRS was given 94-104 seats, leaving the Congress-TDP-TJS-CPI alliance with a mere 16-21 seats. MIM gets 7 and others, mainly the BJP, put a disappointing figure.
The survey results have been ridiculed, predictably, by Uttam Kumar Reddy. Other opposition leaders are expected to join the 'Trash CPS' bandwagon later today.
The biggest surprise came when the chief of the CPS said that the data is giving a vote share of 49.7 per cent to the ruling party. This is an exponential jump from the 2014 elections. How is TRS going to win a landslide with more than 15 per cent higher vote share? The psephologist answered saying TDP's vote share is going en masse to TRS. TDP is not going to secure more than 5 per cent of vote share this time, he said.
If the survey is to be believed, Telangana is having a wave election. But nobody is sensing a wave election on the ground. It's a tight contest with TRS having an edge over the Mahakutami. That's all.
Predictably, TV9 has been accused of telecasting a KCR-planted survey.
