Telugu TV news editors today are learned to have held a meeting inside the premises of Press Club of India. They have come to oppose the alleged "undemocratic" proposal to impose a blanket boycott on certain 24/7 news channels.
Saying that electronic media has always been guided by self-regulation, the editors hold the opinion that it's as if certain cine industry are members attacking them for political reasons. They have hit out at the "ignorance" of those who are "unnecessarily" targeting the channels instead of taking steps to contain casting couch.
The editors are learned to be of the opinion that some members in the film industry are out against the TV channels only as a ruse to cover-up their own failure in addressing casting couch.
