Electronic media has been generally accused of resorting to sensationalism, especially in reporting celeb deaths. We have seen how a few TV channels became a laughing stock in the wake of the demise of Sridevi.
And now, Jayaprakash Reddy's natural death has been reported in a disrespectful manner by sections of media. A few TV channels are showing visuals of the veteran actor's death in the bathroom of his residence. This is not a dignified way of reporting a death.
'Prathi Roju Pandage' director Maruthi has called out the media for its unsavoury reportage. "The way some media houses are beaming the visuals of Jayaprakash garu's dead body is saddening. It would be good if those who have to be exemplary in their conduct behave responsibly in reporting deaths. We should respect at least the last moments of a person," Maruthi tweeted.
Besides being undignified, it is also an invasion of privacy. "Don't media people know the value of privacy? Why are celebs always fair game?" an angry Netizen asked.
