TV channels across India are having a ball of a time since Friday's Exit Polls. With most Exit Polls saying that BJP will lose power in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, millions of politically aware citizens have shown great interest in listening to TV debates and updates. Same goes with the Telugu TV channels in Telangana.

The TRP-heavy run continues with two major developments happening on Monday. First, Urjit Patel called it quits by tendering his resignation as the Governor of RBI. This came as a surprise and opposition parties are already lambasting the Modi government over "threatening the autonomy of RBI". Already, Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal and others have made a statement about the resignation, adding to much political masala-drama.

Secondly, decks to Vijay Mallya's extradition have been removed for now with a UK court saying that the liquor baron should be sent to India from Britain. The CBI has welcomed the order and the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has called it a great day for the country.

On Tuesday, it will be a big day with vote counting starting for the five assembly elections. It's expected to be nail-biting in MP, Telangana and Chattisgarh. Maybe, even in Rajasthan, it will be a neck-and-neck fight. So, TV channels will have a great day tomorrow, giving constant updates and amassing TRPs.
