Popular Television anchor and serial artiste Anisha has been arrested along with her brother following a complaint for a rupees 37 lakhs cheating case. Anisha's husband Shakthi Murugan is said to have posed as a millionaire and driving rented Audis and Jaguars had visited a AC showroom and told the owner Prashanth  that he needed 103 units for his newly opened hotel.  Seeing his outward appearance the showroom manager delivered the pieces against a cheque of 37 lakh rupees in April this year.

Reportedly, when Prashanth deposited the cheque in his bank account it bounced as there was no money in Shakthi Murugan's account.  When he had contacted the defaulter he had started evading him and then another shock was in store for Prashantha as he discovered that the AC machines he had deliverd to Shakthi were sold by him online.  He immediately lodged a complaint with the KK Nagar police.  

During police investigation another fraud by Shakti Murugan has come to light that he had advertised that costly cars like BMWs , Audis and Jaguars were needed for his travels and he would pay them attractive rents.  Many luxury car owners had tied up with him but in due course Shakti had illegally sold cars worth rupees 64 lakhs.
