BREAKING! What really happened outside Jayaraj and Bennix's shop - CCTV footage reveals shocking details

The custodial deaths of 63-year-old Jayaraj and his son, 31-year-old Bennix, has shaken the entire nation as people across the country have been demanding justice for the father and son following the ruthless manner in which they were killed by cops in the Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu.

A CCTV footage has now been released by a leading news agency, exposing shocking details involved in the case. It has been determined that very few men were present outside the shop, and that Jayaraj and Bennix did not 'roll' on the floor or resist the attempt of arrest by the Sathankulam cops and Jayaraj had in fact co-operated with the cops. Bennix is then seen hopping on to a two-wheeler with a couple of his friends when his sister had informed that Jayaraj had been taken into police custody. This is a proof that neither the father nor the son resisted the arrest & there was no need to take them into custody. It is a clear case of murder, DMK MP Kanimozhi reportedly informed the news agency.

Jayaraj and Bennix were arrested on January 19 and booked under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 353 (use of force to deter public servant from duty) 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), and 506(2) (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. They were allegedly brutally tortured while in custody and were later released and taken to a hospital where a doctor declared them fit despite eyewitnesses reporting that they beaten up and still bleeding.

An advocate, who was an eyewitness to the incident, reportedly said, We were standing out and we were seeing the whole incident from outside through a glass gate. Bennix and his father were beaten. In the morning there was blood all over the place where they were sitting. I gave them four clothes to change. We had laid down a blanket in the seat of the car when we went to pick them up, Bennix had lost a lot of flesh on his back. He was a well-built man. The car driver was in tears seeing their state. The spot where Bennix sat was covered with blood, the place where Jayaraj was sitting was also all blood. The blankets are still with us. They were beaten to death.

Social media has been seeing widespread demand for justice for the father and son, with people protesting against police brutality and custodial deaths. It is yet to be seen how the new development in the matter will impact the condition of the Sathankulam cops responsible for the cold-blooded killings.
