Two persons shot dead in anti-Sterlite protest

Protest in Tuticorin against the Sterlite corporation has gained immense traction. Unfortunately, two men have lost their life today owing to police shooting during the protest. Their identity is unknown as of now. The protesters have barged into the collectorate with the police not being able to contain the protesters.
However, there is no information if the collector is present there or not. People are waiting to meet with the collector. A general air of commotion prevails and it is expected that the police will amp up the measures to see that the situation is not out of hands.
