When director Samir Karnik began work on 'Chaar Din Ki Chandni', he was sure about one thing which was that his leading man had to demonstrate a hero-like persona. He had a point though. After all, he hadn't seen much success when his lead protagonists went overtly subtle in his earlier efforts, case in point being Salman Khan (Heroes) and Bobby Deol (Nanhe Jaiselmer, Vaada Raha.... I Promise) where they weren't seen in their boisterous best. On the other hand once Deols let themselves go in 'Yamla Pagla Deewana', Samir had a roaring success in hands.
"Due to this very reason, Samir asked Tusshar to change his approach towards acting in 'Chaar Din Ki Chandni'. He wanted him to feel like a hero while facing the camera. Instead of being way too subtle or extraordinarily animated, he wanted him to strike a balance. Tusshar understood that as well and it was a matter of a scene or two before he realised the kind of 'sur' that Samir wanted him to explore," informs a friend.
Says Tusshar, "Yes, Samir wrote my character who had a lot of 'herogiri' in it. A film like say, 'Golmaal' is very slapstick but in case of 'Chaar Din Ki Chandni', the treatment is entirely different since it is a romcom instead of being an out and out comedy."
Well, let's see how this herogiri indeed works out for Tusshar.
