Tulu film fest in Mangaluru

As the preparations are on for the Bengaluru International Film Festival, there is Tulu language film festival by a section of Tulu film producers in Mangaluru.

It is a weeklong festival of Tulu Films from January 5 to 11, 2018. The screening of films would take place at Mangaluru Cine Polis multiplex.

In all 28 Tulu films have been picked for screening. Oriyadori Asal, Chaali Polilu, Ekka Sakka, Chandi Kori and others are screened. The films that could be screened via satellite are picked for the festival of Tulu Films says Rajesh Brahmavar, President of Tulu Producers Association.

The festival of Tulu films is also backed by seminars and discussions. The Kannada cinema fraternity is also taking part in it. The grave issues faced by Tulu cinema industry will be discussed that include the theatre paucity for Tulu films in Karnataka.

Rajesh Brahmavar intends to take similar festival of Tulu films to Bengaluru, Hubballi, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai cities in the coming days.
