A 26-year-old man was arrested after posting abusive comments on Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha's post on Instagram.

The man, identified as Shashikant Gulab Jadhav, from Tulji Nagar in Maharashtra's Aurangabad, was traced using his IP address when Sonakshi Sinha registered a complaint against him with the Mumbai crime branch earlier this month. The comments were allegedly posted under Sonakshi Sinha's recent video about women safety and cyber bullying and harassment. "An unidentified person posted abusive and obscene comments about women on the video and used indecent language about some Bollywood personalities," an investigating official reportedly stated.

The accused was arrested following an interrogation and was produced before a local court on Friday, following which he has been remanded in judicial custody.
