TTV Dinakaran has released the election manifesto of his AMMK party for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019. His list clearly focusses on capturing the imagination of the young voters especially students for whom some essential freebies are on offer. Farmers too figure prominently. Given below are the highlights
- Waiver of student loans and attempts made for exemption from NEET exams for TN students.
- Waiver of all agricultural loans and also a waiver of loans procured for small businesses from the Co-operative banks.
- Attempts to declare the Delta Region as an Agricultural Zone and enforce a permanent ban on all those industries that affect farming and agriculture.
- Insist on making Tamil as the official governing language and stop giving licenses to liquor breweries in the Tamil Nadu state.
- Pensions for senior citizens to be raised from rupees 1000 to 2000
- Insist to the Central government regarding the release of the seven Rajiv Gandhi assassination accused and also Muslim prisoners.
- Setting up a separate Commission to monitor the price fluctuations of petrol and diesel prices.
- Government servants pay to be fixed on the old scales and rural youth to be given loans of rupees fifty thousand to two lakhs.
- Interest-free marriage loans of rupees two lakhs for private sector workers
- Metro rail services in Coimbatore, Trichy and Madurai and complete closure of toll gates
- 33 percent reservation for women will be insisted in the Parliamentary.
